Denver man charged in Chihuahua's death
In this article a man killed a chihuahua with a shovel and is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals. His bond was $2,500. Denver Post, by Arthur Kane. Its amazing the things human beings do. Why do you have to kill a dog because you become upset with it and especially if it isn't yours. I think it would be easier to tell the owner of the dog about your problem instead of stealing it and killing it with a shovel but thats just my opinion. Now the guy has to deal with the law and the owner of the dog. His life is probably gone suck more then when the dog was annoying him. People need to think about what solutions can be made and people would probaby live better.http://www.denverpost.com/ci_7405538

Teacher, student on the lam seen in Denver
In this article Kelsey Peterson who was a middle school teacher is on the run with a 13 year old named Fernando Rodriguez. Even though Kelsey is 25 and Fernando is 13 they like eachother and have sent e-mails to each other. Denver Post, by the associated press. I think that the teacher and the student should be able to like one another and it shouldn't be made a big deal because if they're running away they're running for a reason. They like eachother and just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong. Love works in many different ways and if two people have strong feelings for one another then they should do what they want. The teacher also shouldn't be charged with child abuse and kidnapping because the kid knows whats going on and if the kid likes the teacher then thats not child abuse or kidnapping.

voters want more from schools
In this article Americans are concerned about what is being taught at schools and don't think the United States are preparing students with the skills they will need in the future. By Dave, 2 cents worth. 80% of voters say the skills that are needed for the 21st century and the future are different then what they used to be 20 years ago. New things that voters think should be taught more are critical thinking and problem solving. I think that everything should be taught and not just a couple things because in the past we had to use everything we knew and in the future we will have to use everything we know. Some of the things are science, math, problem solving, English, etc. Everything is used in this world and that's why we have it. In the future we will need all the skills we can learn even though they seem like they're not useful. Every skill plays it's part in the world. Students are the future and they should know everything they can. http://davidwarlick.com/2cents/2007/10/12/voters-want-more-from-schools/

Wildlife officers kill bear that claws homeowner
In this article a bear that went into a garage and clawed the homeowner was shot and killed. The Denver Post. My question is why would you kill the bear that went in the garage and clawed the homeowner. Its called a bear of course its going to attack its an animal. We did take over their land so if they can't find food in the territory we left them of course they're gonna go off to find some food for themselves somewhere else they're not just gonna sit there and wait for food to fall into their lap, they need to eat too. Plus when we took over some of their land the bears didn't come out and shoot the people which is what we do. When they come down some are taken back but others are shot and killed so what can a bear do up against a gun. They need to do what ever they can to survive just like anything else and for them to come down means its because most of the time it is necessary. But im not saying dont kill any bears but we should limit ourselves because what we do to them affects us to.
Im Relaxing...
In this article dave is at a hotel where he thinks there is no internet. He asks the guy at the front desk if they had internet. The guy told him they do but it was down. 2cents worth by Dave. This article made me think about how internet is so useful to everyone. People can do anything online like research, see how the temperature is or find an adress no matter what it is you can probably do it online. This made me think of how the world be if we never had internet would we still be as advanced or would we be slower at things. Like this blog wouldnt' even exist and this assignment would have never been assigned. I think we wouldn't be as advanced because millions of people use the internet around the world and without it everything wouldn't be the same. So we should all thank the internet because its a part of our everyday lifes.

Boulder students protest "God" in pledge
In this article 100 students from Boulder high school went outside their school and protest that they shouldn't have "God" in the pledge. They recited the pledge differently outside their school. By: Mike McPhee, in The Denver Post. I think the students are right because not everybody believes in God and they shouldn't have to say it if they don't want to. We have the right to choose to say the pledge or not but the pledge should be something anybody can say without offending other people.

Saudi Women Challenge Driving Ban
In this article women in Saudi Arabia are sending a petition to the king to allow women to drive cars. BBC News, Internet. Why shouldn't women be able to drive if some statistics show that women are better drivers and its not like men don't get in accidents. Driving is a right for men and it should also be for women.
